Robert Frost, string educator, clinician, author, and composer, is internationally known for his compositions and educational materials. He is a graduate of Utah State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Music degree and received his Doctor of Music Education degree from the University of Northern Colorado. He was a string specialist in the Cache County Schools for 30 years before retiring in 1994. Listed among his numerous works is the highly acclaimed string method "All For Strings" and the revolutionary method "Viva Vibrato" both of which he co-authored. He has held leadership positions in music education at the state and national levels and remains active as a studio teacher, composer, researcher, and conductor. He is currently president of Utah ASTA with NSOA.

37511	Be Thou My Vision (String Orchestra) E
	This grade 1+ Irish hymn is skillfully arranged by Frost and features a simple yet lyrical melody. Rich, full, sustained chords and simple arpeggios provide the proper stylistic accompaniment. Basic note values, occasional slurs, and set in the keys of C and G major make this piece ideal for young string players. An optional piano part is provided.
37601	Coronation (String Orchestra) M
	Originally written in the late 18th century by Oliver Holden and also known as the hymn 'All hail The Power of Jesus'' Name', this majestic work features four variations of the main coronation theme with corresponding introductions. Rhythmic independence and precision is required of all sections, and first violins, cellos and basses are scored beyond first position. Three rapid tempo changes near the end lead to a dramatic finish. Keys of G and C major.
37515	In the Hall of the Mountain King (from Peer Gynt) (String Orchestra) MD
	This challenging grade 4 arrangement of the final movement of Edvard Grieg's familiar work, Peer Gynt Suite No. 1, has been skillfully penned by Robert Frost, a veteran at writing for developing string orchestras. Moving from a rather quiet, mystical beginning to a dramatic conclusion, this arrangement contains all the exciting elements of the full orchestra version.
37555	Nutcracker: Dance of the Reed Pipes (String Orchestra) MD
	This well-known theme from 'The Nutcracker Suite' by Tschaikowsky was originally written for flute trio. This grade 3+ adaptation closely follows the source material, providing an excellent opportunity for the upper strings to refine the spiccato bow stroke.
37611	Slavonic Dance op. 46 No. 8 (String Orchestra) M
	This melody is one of the most frequently performed of all Slavonic Dances by Dvorak since it's equally exciting for performers and audiences. The transposition to the key of D major maintains the vibrancy of the upper violin range while matching the ability level if younger players. First violinists will find many of the passages to be easily accessible in third position. The integrity of the source music in this grade 3+ adaptation has been retained through the use of double stops, bowing styles, repeated phrases, and dynamics.
37570	Swing Low, Sweet Chariot (String Orchestra) E
	Arranged at the grade 1+ level, this song is one of the best-known early American spirituals. It embodies in word and music the emotion and convictions of the African-American people during the 19th century. The music is well suited to the ability of young string orchestras both harmonically and rhythmically. Set in the key of G major, and featuring strong phrases, this piece ensures rapid success for student musicians. An optional piano part is included.
